Kansas City Wedding Photographer {Studio Model}

A month ago or so I took a studio lighting workshop in downtown Kansas City. I learned a lot in the 3 hours or so and was able to get some pretty images of our model. Although, I prefer photographing in natural light, it was nice to learn more about studio lighting. The model was dressed very sexy so I feel like it was almost a boudoir session but not quite. The studio was inside an old building in the Crossroads of Downtown Kansas City. I loved the vintage/historic feel of the inside, which made for some great images. Check out my favorite photos below.

{Baby Jenson} 5 months old - Kansas City Baby Photographer, Kansas City Newborn Photographer

Last week, I was able to take some pictures of my favorite nephew, Jenson. He is already 5 months old! Wow! He's getting sooo big! I will definitely be posting more once I get them edited but here's a few of my favorite pictures.

If you are looking for pictures of your little one, email me info@erinleighstudio.com. I also have baby portrait plans for 2011. They are perfect for capturing your child's growth and his/her stages from newborn, sitting, crawling and walking.

{Teresa & Mike's Wedding, Part 2} Kansas City Wedding Photographer

Here are a few more pics from Teresa and Mike's Wedding.

They even had a tap dancer at the reception.
Mike's fraternity serenaded Teresa. It was pretty neat!
Instead of the traditional tossing of the bouquet, they gave the bouquet to the couple who had been married the longest. It was a really cute gesture too!
Thanks for looking! Congrats Teresa & Mike!

{W Family Pictures} Kansas City Family Photographer

The W Family is so adorable! Julia & Tyler have two pugs! Both are super adorable with different personalities! I just love dogs (since I have two of my own)! I enjoyed hanging out with this couple and their cute dogs on a nice fall afternoon in October! Enjoy your sneak peak!

{Family Pictures} Kansas City Family Photographer

Such a fun family to photograph! It was a little chilly out but they were troopers.  They had such a beautiful backyard to photograph too! Beautiful trees, deck and stairs.

I love extended family pictures. It's fun to see the interaction between parent and child and even child and grandparent. Plus who doesn't love little kids! They are adorable. Thanks for letting me photograph you F family! Enjoy your sneak peak!

{Baby Jada} Kansas City Children's Photographer

I had the opportunity to take Baby Jada's 1 year old pictures at Heritage Park in Olathe, KS! She is the most adorable little girl. She was making noises the whole time and had great facial expressions. She was so happy until the end when she did not want to take pictures anymore.

Happy 1st Birthday Miss Jada!

{Teresa & Mike's Wedding, Part 1} Kansas City Wedding Photographer

I had the opportunity to shoot a wedding with Karen Plemmons of KP Photography and Chris of Chris Walter Photography. This was a great learning experience and a chance to get to know other local Kansas City Photographers.

Since it was the bride and groom's second wedding, they were pretty laid back and did not do all of the traditional things that other bride and grooms do. The wedding was on the rooftop of Crowne Center Westin in dowtown Kansas City. The view of the skyline in the background was beautiful! Teresa's son walked her down the aisle, which is so sweet!

Here are some of my favorite pictures of the ceremony.

I love seeing the reaction of the groom as his bride walks down the aisle.
The wedding even had a crowd watching from a window of a hotel room!

I tried out some vintage processing on these photos. Still trying to decide what kind of photo processing I like best.

Check back later this week for Part 2 of this wedding!
