A little bit about these two love birds: They met at a University of Central Missouri Homecoming parade and Shawn proposed on April Fools day. It was no joke though. Read about their proposal in Amanda's words:

"Shawn and I went engagement ring shopping in October 2010 and then again in December 2010...I waited and waited and waited. Not without my gripes, I will admit! But on April 1st, 2011 Shawn woke up and decided it was the day to ask. After waking up late I was in a rush to get to work, Shawn stayed in bed reading news on his phone. He asked me to come look at something. Thinking it was something political I replied, as applying my mascara, "Babe, I really don't have time." A few minutes later he asked again "Honey, I think you really need to come look at this" A little annoyed I went into the bedroom and there he was with a ring box. Instead of asking (I think he was a little nervous) he said "No, it's not an April fools joke, whats your answer?" I laughed and reminded him that he hadn't asked a question yet!!"

Shawn and Amanda are a super sweet couple and I truly enjoyed getting to know them over the past year. They were so easy going at their engagement pictures and I could not wait for their wedding.

They got married on a beautiful fall day at Lone Summit Ranch in Lee's Summit. This venue is absolutely gorgeous and is a perfect for an outdoor wedding.
